We went to Magic Mountain and Las Vegas for SPRING BREAK! It just so happens that every year spring break falls right on the weeks of McKinzie, Mike and Miranda's birthday's.(and in that order.) So on Saturday the 27th Kinz kicked it off with a day at Disneyland with her besties!

While Miranda and I went to Young Women's Conference and had dinner at Pat and Oscar's with friends from our ward!! After she got home she and her friends had cake and she got to open her presents.

On Sunday we were supposed to leave for Magic Mountain and then well we weren't really sure what we were doing. Mike was worried about leaving the dogs for so long. Even though Bri had volunteered to come over twice a day and feed them. Oh yea, and they have a doggie door. BUT the problem is they sleep with us and don't do well when we aren't here. Sooo...... one of my darling girls from Young Women's was sweet enough to sleep at the house during the week. I think they definately gave her an adventure, all snuggled up with her at night. So now that Mike's nerves were put to rest we thought of every place imagineable to fly to at the last minute without spending a fortune and realized that wasn't going to happen. So we decided Magic Mountain,Vegas and the Lion King!! We threw in some shopping Mike and Mandi's birthdayand some David Copperfield magic! Their were ups and downs to the trip, good moods and bad moods but all in all it was very fun. I like being with my family. Of course, we missed Gage! He was off being a man, working and learning the responsibilities of adulthood :) Here are some pictures!

Off to Oregon!!

So I'm off to Oregon in 6 1/2 hours to take care of these little cuties!! My little sis Ashleigh is having lots of pain still from a freak accident. She was lifting a 250 pound man into an ambulance about 3 weeks ago and it tore the muscles in her neck, shoulder and ribs. They cannot seem to find anything to help her get rid of the pain. Since she is having major trouble lifting cute little Berkley I am off to help out a little with her and Rafe. Lucky Me!!!!! I cannot wait.

Homecoming!!!

Kinz decided to go to homecoming with Sam Ramirez ( in our ward) and a bunch of other girls. They went to dinner at Applebees and then headed off to the dance. She sure looked pretty.

Pool Time With My Nieces

Kinzie, Tristyn and I took my nieces Jace and Brianna to the Sports Park pool at the end of summer. Jace and Tristyn had a blast on the water slide and Brianna warmed up to the kiddie pool after an hour of coaxing. It was a fun day!!

Vail Lake Picnic
I just found these on an extra camera card. The first weekend of August we went up to the Vail Lake picnic grounds and had a Kentucky Fried Chicken picnic. Except for all the annoying bees it was alot of fun. The kids drove the car up and Mike and I and his friend Phil rode the motorcycles up. The kids drove home and we rode up the canyon to get an ice cream cone. ha ha Way fun!!!

Miniature Golfing With A Few Of The Munchkins

I took the kids miniature golfing at Mulligans and had a blast. Gage couldn't help but knock the ball away from us girls. He got a real kick out of it. We went on the go karts and the girls and i giggled and laughed. Gage declared that they weren't nearly as fun now that I had taken him to Pole Position. Miranda kept begging to go on the teacups (they make me sick, sick sick) so I kept begging Gage to take her. He really didn't want to go but relented when McKinzie started in on the begging. They got on and Gage told them not to touch the wheel. They were spinning sooooo fast and all got off wanting to puke!!!

Miranda is finally 13 and running around with the phone she waited 2 years for. I had been teasing her for the last month about not being sure wether or not I really wanted to get her one. She is one of those kids who will call you if she is out in front of the house and you are inside. She had to wait until 9 at night to open her presents because we had mutual at our house and Mike doesn't get home till about 7:30. She opened the first one and was very happy, opened the second one and again was very happy. Before she opens the third and last one she turns to Stacie and says "k this has got to be it". She opens it and inside are too pairs of shorts for dance class, she say's "mom, you promised" So I said "well ya know how I have been telling you I'm not sure it's such a good idea"....... but Mike chimes in and saves her.... "keep looking" he said and sure enough hidden well in the tissue is a phone. I'm sure you can tell from the pictures which one was snapped right as she saw it. Priceless!!! She had a great night, some of her friends decorated her room, she tore it down (before I could get a good picture) in all the screaming and excitement. This was also a "friend party" year so she took them to La Jolla to the indoor rink.

SWEET 16

McKinzie turned 16 on the 27th of March. All of her friends were out of town for Spring Break so we had a Mother Daughter date. We went and got our nails done and then went Glen Ivy for the afternoon. It was so much fun!! We then met Mike, Tristyn, Miranda and Mandi's friend Stacie at the Melting Pot. We made this Miranda's birthday also because it was pricey. So yummmmy though. She got a Juicy purse since it was a special b-day. It is now April 12th and on Wednesday she passed her D.L. test. It was very weird not having to get and up take her to seminary at 6 in the morning. My little smiley, laughing, giggly ponytailed blonde that use to hang on my leg and tell me she loved me is now growing up. What a wonderfully sweet beautiful daughter we are blessed with!!

What a talented lady. I have a sister who is a photographer too who is wonderful but I can never seem to get my family all together when she is around. Love you both!!

Aspen Colorado
At the end of February Mike and I got to fly to Aspen. It was so much fun and a much needed little get away together. Of course it would not have been possible except for wonderful Grandma Julie (mike's mom). She was so kind and willing to watch the girls while we were away. We flew out at 6:00 a.m. on Friday and arrived at the hotel at about 3:00p.m. We were supposed to be there at 11:00 a.m. but it was snowing so hard in Aspen that the pilot couldn't land. We ended up landing in Grand Junction and then we were bussed to Aspen. I kept telling Mike that it was just adding to the adventure, he is not very patient when it comes to waiting, but i have to admit I was getting antsy by the end. Anyway>>>>>> it was freezing when we got there. FREEZING COLD!!! We went and bought hats and gloves and Mike bought warm shoes,, duh, what were we thinking. AAgghh we felt much better and wouldn't you know the next 2 days were beautiful. Chilly but beautiful. We walked around all the shops, ate good food, watched interesting people, enjoyed the hot tub on our deck that we didn't know we were getting. It was wonderful. I looooovvvveee my amazingly sweet and handsome man!!
